Theft Alarm
how to disable the anti-theft alarm in a car?
the alarm in my car (Mercury sable 1997 wagon) goes off without reason several times in the last 4-5 days. it stopped sounding when i open the door. sometime even it stoped by itself before i reached the car.
i'm broke now 
, so is there any temporary solution before i can afford to go to have it repaired. is there any fuse that i can take out or a wire that i can cut to deactivate the alarm, or some thing like that. bottom line, i want a temporary solution without spending money at all.

There should be a horn looking thing in the engine. Just cut the wire and it should stop. Make sure it doesn't shut off the ignition though. The other option is to disconnect the battery and that should reset the system.

Do burglars know the difference between real and fake alarm theft deterrent stickers?
How do they know, and how can you know which ones to buy where they dont?
Small time burglars will probably not know the difference, or will not be willing to take a chance.
If you are going to go with fake stickers, make sure they have a company name on them. You can get cheap ones that just warn of an alarm, but they are less likely to be a deterrent.
