How can we slow the loss of our videos?

I work as an assistant manager in a video rental shop. We are constantly loosing dvd's either to loss or employee theft. I am wondering if there may be something we can do to lessen the amount of dvd's mysteriously vanishing, without adding video surveillance.
Maybe a better tracking software, or a program that will help organize our shelves better for inventory. Free would be best. As I am the only one attempting to solve the problem, when a solution is found, I will inform the owner.
Thanks

Keep empty cases on the shelves and movies behind the counter in a file shelf system.

At least you'll know it's the employess or customers.

When a na?ve small-town boy falls hopelessly in love with an unrepentant criminal, the shockwave created by their forbidden union threatens to rock a conservative American town to its very core. Guy (Matthew Burnett) was always such a polite and reserved young man, who could ever suspect that he would fall for the shadiest character in town? When the flames of their passion burn out of control that they scorch the local evangelical church, these two disparate lovers quickly discover just how closed-minded small-town America can truly be. With a soundtrack by disco star Hedda Layne, an endless parade of Leathermen, and one truly over-the-top preacher, Theft is a feel-good gay film that aims to keep audiences laughing until the closing credits. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Mouse Theft At Media Galaxy Timisoara - Shelf Cam

I Need to take the battery out of Honda CR-V but don't have code to anti-theft radio, what are my options....

I need to take the battery and shelf it sits on out to access one of 2 bolts in order to remove an upper control arm. Can I hook a set of booster cables from a spare battery to the battery cable terminals in car before remove it from car? I'm thinking this way power supply would not be interupted to radio, I would make sure the cables do not contact each other while doing this. My concern is would having 2 batteries hooked up to my vehicle momentarly cause a problem to any of the electrics because there would be too much voltage. I would of course have ignition off and key out.
thanks for any advice.
The only way to get code is by pulling stereo out and getting serial number, quite a task on this vehicle.

You can get an adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter or power outlet that has a 9 volt battery on it. It will keep your radio from losing its settings.

aftermarket alarms usually have better range for remotes and have better/more sensors. some stock alarms only sound if the door is opened not by the key( slim jimed, window smashed and open from inside. aftermarket alarms sound if there is a shock/vibration to the car.

So what's your concern? The fact the cops thought you were a perv? Some would say you are regardless of what the current law is (remember, at one time there was no lower age limit and women were getting married as young as 12). The fact they have copies of your cards? Its called evidence and even though no charges came from the incident its not like they just toss it all in a shredder. Evidence is kept, that's why they have it in the first place.
