my cats had fleas and I used a product that has their hair falling out now?
My cats recently had fleas, I tried sentry natural defense since it was cheaper and natural. It seems like it has been working as my cats dont have as many eggs anymore on them howeverI noticed small clumps of hair coming out of my cat... I am not sure if I should wash it off
I hope you did not use Sentry Natural Defense. If you did, you should wash your cat very well and rinse multiple times. Do not use it again.
Do not use any over-the counter flea or worming products on your cat! These products contain poisons and many cats have been killed by them.

Please call your vet in the morning, you need to have your cat seen asap. When you are there ask your vet about safe flea products.
Whoops, I read "sentry" but the "natural defense" did not register. This is a dangerous product and the term"natural" on product labels is meaningless. Arsenic is totally natural too!

Have you used SENTRY Natural Defense Flea & Tick Spray for Cats?
I've been reading mixed reviews from different web sites on this product. I've already bought it but am wondering if it's safe or not? Have any of you used it? Do you think the people using this product that had problems was due to the fact they may have completely saturated the pet's fur instead of just lightly spraying 1 or 2 sprays?

I wouldn't use but i know those that have ... here's a common sense tip most ppl take for granted - the instructions say to saturate the FUR not the cat .. therein lies the difference. One or two sprays isn't gonna do the trick ... if you're gonna at all (i strongly recommed Advantage) ... put on a pair of gloves (do i have to say rubber) spray your hands and rub the fur, like you were applying gel or something to your own hair ... don't rub it into the skin, fluff the fur (long or short, there is a way) ... don't save the gloves for next time, throw them away.
Again, i'm not a fan but if you must, at least do it safely, please.

Edit: in case i have to be more scientific ... remember the process of 'osmosis' ~ absorbtion through the skin ~ it applies concerning the 'health' of BOTH of you.
**** oh, and before you do this, remember, it's dry doesn't mean the cat won't develop tongue/mouth issues from licking/cleaning themselves ... sorry, i'm just not a fan ***
