Volt Cheetah
Are extentable batons legal in south san francisco, CA?
the baton i like is 26 inches and does mail to CA.But im not sure if its legal to have at home. and are they legal in the streets? Also is a 2.5 million volt stun gun legal to have at home? Its the brand "Cheetah Stun" and it also mails to CA. i just want to make sure its legal to have before i purchase it. If these 2 items are not legal, will a permit make it legaL? what will?PLEASE HELP! thankks
It may mail to California but the baton is illegal everywhere in the state and not just SSF unless you're a member of law enforcement or a uniformed security guard with a license to carry a baton. The stun gun is legal on the other hand.

Cheetah 2.5 Million Volt Stun Gun Review
What is the difference between stung gun voltages?
I am Interested in getting a Stun gun I found two one a 400,000 Volts and the Other 2.5 Million Volts obvisously there is a diference in volts but what is the different effects does? does one work faster? Does one hurt more? or is there anything else I could know?

Honestly, either voltage is effective. All stun guns will render your assailant helpless using non-lethal voltage from the stun gun, but you might have to hold a 400,000 volt version a second or two longer than the 1,000,000+ volt version. Proper contact is also important. A stun gun is effective on many parts of the body, but give yourself the best chance by hitting the most effective locations. Hold the stun gun on a body part that has a lot of surface area, such as the chest, abdomen, groin, kidneys, back, etc. An area such as the arm or leg may work fine, but these body parts do not allow you the same amount of surface area that you will need to contact for a few seconds.
Most stunguns under 750,000 volts use 9-volt batteries (1-2). These batteries are inexpensive and will give you a long life. The 1,000,000+ versions have to rely on 3v lithium or similar types and require several. The batteries are expensive and don't last quite as long.
So I would recommend a unit that fits well in your hand and is the size you are comfortable with. Remember, in a bad situation, you will need to be able to hold the stun gun and fire it long enough to be effective. So a good design is needed. As a general rule, a one-half second contact from a stun gun will repel and startle the attacker, giving some pain and muscle contraction. One to two seconds will cause muscle spasms and a dazed mental state. Over three seconds will cause loss of balance and muscle control, mental confusion and disorientation. However, don't think about how many seconds you should hold the stun gun to your attacker. Think about it this way, you should hold your stun gun to the assailant until they drop and you can get away and call the police.
