Wall Diversion Is the $700 billion bailout plan for Wall Street a diversion?
I hear the real reason for the Wall Street bailout plan is to pass into law total immunity for the people that brought the economy into this crisis and the $700 billion is just a distraction to keep peoples focus away from the real issue, which is the immunity.

Most burglars spend less than six minutes inside a victims home and only have time to check the most obvious places for valuables. This unique safe allows you to hide your valuables discreetly inside a surge protector one of the last places a thief would think to look. According to the Chicago Police these units are better than a locked safe and a thousand times cheaper. This item holds your valuables where no one would look. There are three features to add in the diversion. First the on/ off switch is battery operated and requires no external power to glow. Second you can plug in up to six cords in to the surge protector to give it that in use look. Third you can plug the surge protector into a wall outlet since you do not have any electrical current to worry about. With the inconspicuous black design you can hide your valuables in plain sight. The safe compartment measures 6 inches x 2 inches by threequarter inches. The on/ off switch requires two AA batteries that are included. Please note that this surge protector is nonworking.

So, about them Mexicans/Immigration? Forgotten? Still building a wall? Or is it congrats Bush on the diversion
It was the Mexican/immigration that was the diversion... in an election year NOBODY will vote on that topic because it evokes too much emotion on both sides. Hell, last year wasn't an election year and the immigration bill that passed was nothing compared to what was proposed.
Neither party wishes to piss off the Spanish population because if you do you piss off a large minority base, and while only a portion of that group is able to vote, they do, and in percentages higher than white voters who are registered. On the other hand the anti-immigration people are die hard conservatives who are very unlikely to vote anything except republican... and despite their fervor, do not vote in higher than average percentages.
My question is what were they using it to divert our attention from... the lackluster progress in Iraq, or something much more sinister that totally slipped by off the radar.
