Wall Safe Combinations

Is 16 months too soon?
My son is going to be 16 months in a couple days. Right now, he's still in the crib he's had since birth - the problem is he is so strong, he's able to move it a few feet from any wall just by either jumping or pushing from inside the crib. (we've never seen him push it, we're just assuming it's a combination of the two -) we've seen him jump and it moves a little, but when we go in to get him from a nap, and he's been excited about getting out to play, the crib is about 2 or 3 feet from where it was when he went in! Is it too soon to put him in a toddler bed? I'm afraid he's going to either break the crib, or tip it! Is it too soon? We don't want to buy a new crib just to last a couple of months, but will if it means he's safer... He won't sleep in a play pen.
At this age, how do you keep them in a toddler bed also? Do you put them to bed asleep? I'm afraid he'll try to follow us out of the room if he can get off the bed...
as long as his room is safe i would say try a toddler bed out! and you can do like we did nad just put a gate up on the door so he cant get out anywhere!
I have an 19month old son and he is still in his crib, and i am sure we could move him to his toddler bed, but he hasnt shown any harm or trying to get in or out....and since your son is do somthing that can possibly hurt him, id say start the transition!

| | Hidden Wall Safe $7.99 The Hidden Wall Safe is handy because most burglars spend less than six minutes inside a victim's home and only have time to check the most obvious places for valuables. These unique wall safes allow you to hide valuables inside one of many identical looking wall outlets you already have in your home, the last place someone is likely to look. According to the Chicago Police these units are better than a locked safe and a hundred times cheaper. Worried about the outlet cover not matching your other outlets? No sweat, you can interchange any standard plug cover for this one to match your other plugs. |

Picking and bypassing a simple safe
A few questions about my wall mounted, gas fired combination boiler?
1 ...where does the boiler get fresh the air from? if its the flue ..and if it cant get enough air because of a fault what will happen with the boiler itself?, will it just go into lock out mode? and shut down for good or produce carbon monoxide back in to the house??
2... if the boiler struggles for air what happens ... whats the facts?
i have a gas-safe man fixing it this week ... but i want to know what the dangers are....
3...if the boiler struggles for air then people say that it will produce carbon-monoxide ,but wouldnt the boiler just cut out as soon as the boiler starts to struggle? (lock-out)
4....are there other ways to get air in to the boiler system apart from the flue?
5....and lastly if the flue blows out the fumes how can the boiler also suck fresh air in from the same pipe at the same time???
1: Yes, it gets air from the outer duct of the flue (If its a concentric flue [round]). If it doesn't get enough air; it will depend on how much air it can get... The boiler may not light at all and go into some form of fault status depending on the model; otherwise it may "hunt" (You'll see the flame grow and then shrink) or it may just become very unreliable at lighting. In all cases; if you do not have enough air; you will not get correct combustion and you WILL produce carbon monoxide. In modern boilers this will be pushed into the atmosphere; but if the boiler is not sealed correctly (Normally when DIY'ers remove the case thinking they can fix it and then not be able to put the case back on correctly) there is a possibility that the fumes will enter the room which the boiler is situated.
2: Read above... Low air; means that the fuel (Gas) does not have enough Oxygen to burn properly; as such high volumes of CO (Carbon Monoxide) will be created... You can also find an increase in NOx - But this is something that will not be as poisonous as CO to humans.
3: It depends on the model; some models have air pressure switches which will monitor air input... Other boilers use a device called a tachometer which monitors the fan turning; instead of the air passing into the case.... Older models will usually have an air pressure switch which will prevent the boiler from lighting; but depending on wear and tear; these are not always guaranteed; hence why a gas appliance needs servicing every 12 months to ensure devices like this are operating correctly.
4: Air gaps within the case seal; splits in the case and gaps in the cable glands should be the only way additional air can get into a modern-day combination appliance... Older appliances may have additional routes of air entry; depending on their flue and case type.
5: There are two pipes; it's called a concentric flue... Look closely at the outlet and you will see that there is an inner and outer tube... The inner tube is the boiler outlet and the outer tube is the air inlet.
Hope that helps.
