How does the power supply work on a monniter?
hi ive plugged a vga cord from a monniter into my laptop but were do i plug in the power cord as i dont have a mother board ?is it safe to cut it and put a plug on it and plug it in a wall socket????thnx..mt laptop is working 100% im just curious to c if it can work thanx im using a e-system xp laptop..
Please read your question and completely re-write. Cutting cables? Get real. There are no cords on a computer, cords are made of fibre, not plastic and metal.
There are 2 leads VGA & a Mains/power one.
The mains lead already has a 3 pin 13A plug on it. The fuse should be replaced with a 3A one.

can you guys help me with this question? im not lazy i just did 29 questions out of 30 and this is the last one. What ways can you think of that can make wall outlet sockets safer for younger children? thanks in advance
Having baby-proofed my house for my kids, I can tell you that there are several ways to prevent them from playing with outlets:
1. plastic plugs you push in that don't lock (not the safest because the child can pop them off and they could become a choking hazard)
2. plastic plugs you push in that 'lock' in place and require a very difficult pushing of buttons to 'unlock'
3. Plates that have 'sliding' slots. That way, you have to push the plate sideways or turn it a certain amount to get the plug to fit into the outlet. It's great for when nothing's plugged in, but not safe if the child partially pulls out the electrical plug.
4. 'boxes' that screw on top of the plugs and prevents a child from yanking out the cords. Great for permanent fixtures, but annoying and lengthy if you keep plugging and unplugging things.
