Water Resistant
How to seal air dry clay, so that it's water resistant and non-toxic?
I was wondering what I would use to seal air dry modeling clay, so that it's water resistant and non-toxic?
I did a lot of clay work in high school, when I had access to a kiln, and was really great at it, and want to continue now that I'm no longer have this available to me.
I wanted to make cups, but am not sure what I would use to make it water resistant, and make sure that the people drinking from it don't die from the toxins? ...

Unfortunately air dry clay won't work. Air dry clay is not always toxic but it is not sturdy enough or water tight
You could look at kilns if you live where you can have one
I joined a potters guild that has kilns
There are some places that will fire pieces for a fee, They normally want you to buy materials from them
You can also look at what classes you can take that will fire pieces for you

How do they make water-resistant and waterproof shoes?
Some winter boots say water-resistant and some say waterproof. I know the difference,but how are they made differently?
Some are made the conventional way of leather and similar, then coated with various materials like oils to help them shed water.
Others are made from different materials like plastic and rubber that are waterproof to start, and techniques to hold the parts together are different, involving such as heat seals.

If I could configure (1) a water resistant two-tone Montbrillant (38mm), I'd be in hog heaven.
But your first example (the Superocean Steelfish on croc) got me thinking … I'd mostly been looking at (2) the SOH 46mm (black dial) (so I like your 3d, and agree – the solid rubber strap and a black croc) but I might look at (3) the Colt Automatic, probably with a silver dial, on the Professional bracelet, and purchase the croc strap on deployant and a solid Diver II strap at the same time, given the modest retail price for the Colt series.
