Water Resistant Data
How do I find out on my computer how much data I have to back up? (Microsoft Window XP)?
Which models (hard drive) do I need? 80GB, 160GB or 250GB?
I know I have 376MB of RAM, but I’m told this is not what’s on my computer, it’s just what can be accessed at one time.
I want to buy a fire resistant and waterproof hard drive with Direct USB connectivity to a laptop or desktop computer to back up data in the event of crash, computer failure and fire and water-related disasters.

Mouse-over or right click every folder (My Documents, etc) that you wish to back-up and it will give you the size of the folder (in KB, MB or GB)
Add 'em all up and then double it for future growth and you will know approx. what size drive to buy.
BTW, a good free software that will do a back-up everyday, to the drive of your choice, automatically, is called Karen's Replicator:
