Winchester Gun Safe Box
Is it legal to shoot a BB gun in a backyard? (West Virginia)?
My uncle passed away and my grandparents may give me his old Daisy Winchester 1894 BB Gun. (Assuming it's fine, as it's age is 10+ and I'm 14)
In our backyard we have a little hill that goes down unto a valley and then rises unto another hill.

What would be safe targets?
Would it be ok to make a plywood box with one wall missing and use it as a trap?
Is it ok to shoot a pop can? I've seen it in videos on youtube, but I just want to make sure.
What are some suitable targets?
(I know not to shoot/aim at people or animals, or their property for that matter. I know how to handle it and everything else.)

Dude, I don't wanna seem like a bad influence but I don't think anyone is going to care if you shoot a bb gun in your backyard, even if it is technically illegal. If you shoot from the top of the hill down, that will eliminate the possibility of any ricocheting bb's that could be potentially harmful. Tin soda cans are really fun to shoot, but don't shoot anything glass because if it shatters, someone walking barefoot over that area, even after it's cleaned up, might get a nasty surprise. If you have neighbors near by, try to shoot the gun when they're not around obviously. Please don't shoot anyone without their parents consent. I know you probably know that, but you can get in MAJOR shit if the kids (who got shot) mom decides to take it to court. Got any other questions, message me. Hope I helped.
