Yard Warning Signs
do i need to buy a warning sign ?
we have a dog in are back yard and she is a guard dog but we have her on are property and she is fenced in but do i still have to warn people about the dogs in my back yard
Yes on the outside of the fence, and if there are two sides, one fence on each side of the house, then 2 signs. It's sorta the law.

would you see this as a problem?
so recently, my town has been promoting biking/walking to school/work, which is great, don't get me wrong, i think if it's possibly you should avoid driving places. the thing is, my town is REALLY small, the "village" is no more than a 500 yard stretch on the state road, the elementary school is right in the middle. i counted this morning, and there were 11 signs warning drivers to slow down and watch out for bikers and for the one and only crosswalk in the town, 11 signs in about a mile of road. to me that is way too much, it's a distraction to drivers who are trying to read all the signs instead of looking out for kids on bikes. i just think it's too over the top and unnecessary, it just needs to be toned down a bit. am i just over-reacting to all of this or would you also see this as a problem?
[please don't tell me to ride my bike to school instead, i live 15 miles away, i ain't biking, the bus doesn't come within 5 miles of my house, but i carpool regularly]
They probably know something about the drivers in your town.
A good driver should be able to glance @ a sign without completely ignoring what's in the road. I don't stop every time I see a construction sign so I can read it.
I bike commute most days and almost no one pays attention when they're driving. On their cell phones, doing makeup, reading the paper, typing on a laptop; I've seen it all. I doubt the signs do any good, but what can they hurt?
